No matter the outer appearance of your relationship journey, it is not uncommon, and not a failure, to end up somewhere down the road confronted with the choices learning to adapt and live with the disconnection or deciding to end your relationship. However, when you have two options, it is often best to pick the third, The third option is to transform your relationship. Transformation occurs by learning how to truly honor one another and create the safety for both of you to step out of old defensive/protective patterns and into deep connection and joyful, peaceful, aliveness.
Amy Blake, LCSW is your guide in the Private Couples Intensive which is based in the Encounter-centered Couples Therapy (EcCT) work of Hedy Schleifer, MA. With Imago Relationship Therapy as a foundation, EcCT helps couples grow their relational muscles and learn to be in connection without losing oneself. This work assumes the pure goodness of your essence and that your relationship is an adventure and an opportunity to learn and grow not a problem to be solved. The intensive will help you learn to identify and step out of survival patterns so that your essence emerges and you can free up the energy you use for protecting and defending and put it in service to your aliveness as individuals and for your relationship. Amy has trained with Hedy Schleifer, MA since 1997 and is currently in Hedy’s Master Class which focuses on the principles of EcCT and the Private Couples Intensive. The Intensive is designed for couples who are experiencing struggles as well as for couples who want to upgrade an already good relationship. For couples interested in the intensive experience, we highly recommend the two-day private couples intensive as it gives you the best opportunity to really learn, practice and integrate a new way of being in your relationship and support the transformation you are looking for as well as the transformation you had no idea you could attain. The neuroscience research* has shown that when we are in a new learning process for a period of at least five hours, new neuropathic ways begin to develop. The ability of our brain to develop new neuropathic ways is significant in our ability to grow and become relationally mature. This is one reason why intensive work is far more valuable than the same amount of time spent in hourly therapy. Testimonials Our other Intensive offerings include an work specifically for couples who are co-business owners also an Intensive designed specifically for healing from betrayal, conscious uncoupling, and parent/adult child . Intensive experiences can be customized in terms of time, focus and location.
